Chest and Muscle Rub
Our Chest and Muscle rub contains ingredients that help to relieve congestion
and soothe sore and aching muscles.
The castor oil provides anti-inflammatory properties, while the tallow improves
barrier integrity and reduces transepidermal water loss (TEWL).
Beeswax is used because it creates a breathable, protective layer on the skin that
prevents TEWL while protecting against environmental irritants and soothing
the skin.
Gaultheria procumbens (Wintegreen) oil contains methyl salicylate, which
gives it analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and counterirritant properties. It also helps
to open airways, which may relieve symptoms of flu and colds.
Eucalyptus Globulus oil contains eucalyptol, an active substance which works
as a mucolytic, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial agent, helping to loosen
mucus and reduce swelling in nasal tissues.
Eucalyptus Dives oil contains piperitone, which causes it to act as a strong
expectorant, treating respiratory congestion, bronchitis, and chest colds.
Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) oil contains menthol, which is often utilized in
formulations for muscle aches, cold and flu symptoms due to its analgesic,
antispasmodic, and anti-inflammatory properties.
